Default Ice Station Zebra Movie

I was wondering we will see this old movie on blu-ray soon . I would not mine to own it on blu-ray . I seen that Howard Hughes was a big fan of this movie and played it all night and day in continuos loop , On his Television station in las vegas . Thats what I read in some books about him . But with that said ... I would like to see this move . I don't know if anyone on here would know of this movie . Every once in a while it will Come on TCM . But thats not very often .

I like this movie too. Cold war, espionage, ice storms... I am in. No word on a Blu-ray release at this point.

I haven't seen this in a very long time. But I'd also buy it day 1. Liked it that much.

It was put on DVD back when TCM and WB's used to do what they called DVD Decision once a year you had a list of films to choose from and the top winners would get a DVD release. This was a title that was chosen I still have my DVD copy, would love to have it on BLU also.

For whatever reason I love to watch it along with Where Eagles Dare.

I have that same DVD, PowellPressburger. It's not bad, but I'd definitely prefer to have this classic on blu-ray!

Thumbs up Bring on the Cold War...

Ice Station Zebra has been on my Blu-Ray wishlist as well. Filmed in Super Panavision 70 it should look fantastic as well if given a great restoration to prepare it for Blu. Wonder what condition it is in? Saw it recently on TCM High Definition cable - it was a decent print... Count me in, too, as a Day 1 purchase with no hestitation.

Probably just a matter of time. The DVD looks really good and the movie was shot in 70MM so the blu-ray should also look great.

I would think most, if not all the 70MM films will come to Blu-ray where the quailty of the image can truly be appreciated

I would definitely buy 'Ice Station Zebra' on Blu. I am a big fan of Rock Hudson and would love to have his movies on Blu-ray.
