I wouldn't even consider this based on the track record for quality and support of present Samsung home cinema systems. I currently have one of Samsung's all in one BD systems which has been a nightmare from day 1.

Samsung's support is the worst I've ever had to rely on. Samsung never seems to get their firmware right....... and they are always late with new features.

i got the sony 3d ready home theater system (the one without the wireless speakers) and i gota say, so far, so good. I mean, it wont compete with a multi thousand dollar do it yourself system, but for a 10x14 bedroom, it more then enough! I also like the security in knowing that it has a built in 3d ready blu ray player, plenty of apps like netflix, youtube and pandora, and sounds great to me.

I was going to get a samsung, and a friend of mine has one and she likes it, but for me the 3d ready was the way to go, since i am planing on updating my tv come october to a 3d panny!

Btw, idk if she updated her sammy player or not. Shes technical, but not a home theater nut like i am, so idk how the updates work but i read a few negitive things around the samsung.

Totally agree; I too have a Samsung system which has never worked right. In fact I sent mine to repair 1 month after purchase. It took over 2 months of fighting with their support staff before they agreed to replace. Getting the replacement was not without another fight with their support folks. After the Samsung folks hung-up on me I got the store (where I purchased) manger involved....... finally received a new unit!

Firmware issues are ever present..... 1 out of 5 movies have problems. Avatar played correctly up to the last firmware upgrade.

Will never purchase another Samsung product again.

If you threw in a 3D projector in with it, now we're talking!
