Germany A Chinese Ghost Story 1 (German import)

Just found this on amazon.de, out of stock though.
http://www.amazon.de/Chinese-Ghost-S...=UTF8&s=dvd-de
This and some of Tsui Hark & John Woo's films during late 80's and early 90's are my favorites.
No region code information so far.

e-m-s will release all (?) three CGS films on BD this year. Sadly, these most probably won't have English subtitles.

Someone at the Cinefacts Forum already got his copy of Chinese Ghost Story Part II. The disc is locked to region B.

There are no English subtitles and all three releases are locked to Region B.

Default Aaaahhhhh!

These Germans make me sick, why can't they just release their movies with English subs so that folks outside of Germany can enjoy their releases!!!!
One could imagine they would benefit on it but guess they are not greedy. lol

I am from Germany, and I would prefer release with english subs also... because sometimes the english sub is just better than the german dub or sub...

All the A Chines Ghost Story BDs have no english sub.. and I don't think they look that pretty. There are screenshot comparisons between german BD and DVD at caps-a-holic. I like my DVDs.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Sure...

The bad thing about english subs is the licencing. I think the german release companies just don't see the benefit calculated to the costs. Even original audio and german subs are not always given. Smaller companies tend to release DVDs (and BDs) just with german dub.

The really stupidest DVD I own is the german Jet Li - "Hero" (Director's Cut) Edition. It comes with german dub, original mandarin (or is it cantonese) audio, but: NO (GERMAN) SUBTITLES! Not even subs for hard of hearing! I am happy that they put original audio with it, but without subs it is worthless for me.. and much more buyers.
