Never seen this film, definitely want to though and I'm glad it's getting a UK release.

Nice, in case the US release turns out to be a Digibook. I'll be keeping my Amazon.com order for now, $12.99 is too cheap to pass on.

I think I speak for every living person in the history of His Holy Universe when I say that this is wonderful news. Am I the only one who doesn't really regard Travis as a villain?

I've never really seen him referred to as a villain. He's a victim if anything, who takes things in to his own hands. Sport, the Harvey Keitel character is the "villain" of the film surely, pimping out a 12 year old girl? Travis is one of the cinemas great anti-heroes.

That's exactly how I see him - as an anti-hero - only I often see him referred to as a villain.

Yes the artwork is crap. I liked the old DVD cover. They should have made that the BD artwork. Maybe there is a new BD cover for UK release. I found the following on HMV site:

Its atleast better than the US release artwork.

Great to see this being released! I estimated a June release!

Have got the US version on pre-order, and I think I'll stick with that, as it looks to be coming with a slip and I'll get it 2 months earlier. Unless the UK edition is better in some aspect than I'll stick with the US version!

Was scouting out prices for a few things and spotted Taxi Driver for £11.99 at Sainsbury's:

I'm interested to hear why people would wait for this when you can buy it now, from Movietyme for £14.99? Granted Sainsbury's is a tad cheaper (I actually paid £13.99 for my copy at MT thanks to a discount code), but there's a three month wait.

Maybe they don't expect they'll be able to properly sit down and watch it before then anyway? I know I've bought plenty of Blu-rays on release (and will most likely buy plenty more) that have dropped in price before I've had time to watch them.

And I could ask why one would buy it for £15 from Movietyme when it's dirt cheap from Amazon.com? Is getting it two weeks earlier that important?

Appreciate the UK will probably be identical but after the review out today with 5/5 across the board, getting it 2 minutes earlier than the UK release would be a bonus..ordered from amazon.com. Boom!

That cover artwork has actually be on HMV for a long time now.

Whether that'll be what they use or not I've no idea.
