We'll probably get the extra features in standard definition, I can't see them coming in High Definiton for such old footage.

Will deffinately add this, hopefully both movies come out eventually.

Definitely not a blind buy for me....actually, its one of my all time favorite movies. If no American announcement comes soon, I will definitely be ordering from the UK.

I actually like the sequel more, but I'll get the original out of nostalgia. I remember reading the novelization while on vacation when I was a kid.

Default Gremlins bd Don't bother

The Awatied gremlins is with us very soon (oct) But i must point out a few things.. Anyone who bought the R1 Special Edition version years ago might be waisting there time in buying this blu-ray: 1. It only has dolby 2.0 Soundtrack(No true Hd) 2. It has the same features that were on the R1 version of the dvd from years ago.. If this is true id stick with the R1 special edtion if you can still buy it.... This is what i read in the latest issue of dvd review

The Region 2 UK edition has a Dolby Digital 5.1 track (and the dvd I have was from the year 2000).
A 5.1 mix has been created but obviously not put on the US DVD. Since a 5.1 mix exists the blu-rays will get 5.1 audio.

Since warner have been issuing a 5.1 TrueHD track on all their titles lately its most likely we will get a lossless sound track.

Warner has stated that all their movie releases will have hd audio from here out. This has proved true (there were a few that was just 5.1 dolby digital after the hd audio promise but these movies were announce for release before they made that statement). Now if WB would have hd audio for all their tv show releases....

Edit...this applied to U.S. releases...not sure about WB releases elsewhere.

Warner here have ported the US disks to the UK so they most likely use the US disk world wide.

Sometimes these movies come out in UK before U.S. though. Gremlins was delayed in uk over a year ago. It was Dolby digital listed. I believe US version will have HD audio when released. Goonies was released in UK but not in US yet. I believe pq is the same worldwide for WB but audio and extras can differ.
