Think you need to press the L3 button to talk

Yea, some headsets disconnect. Pressing the normal "answer call" button reconnects them.

I had some issues like that after I power off my ps3 then back on my headset wouldn't work. I had to go into my settings and click the "connect bluetooth" . Then it was fine now I just do that before booting up the game to make sure its connected.

Hi,
im thinking of downloading warhawk instead of getting the boxed set since i already have a bluetooth headset. I need to know will any BT headset work on the PS3 and the game? Mine is a generic brand but has BT 2.0 capability. thanks |

Any headset should work. I tried a Motorola and a Sony Ericsson and both worked fine.

How is the Jawbone? I have a motorolla (sp?) HS-820 that has worked well but really liked the tech in the Jawbone. What is your opinion?

Well I was talking to a friend on a cell phone while playing him in warhawk. I tried out the clarity of it by pressing down L3 while talking with him and I found I could easily understand myself talking through the jawbone through his TV over the cellphone. The earpieces and such are really well designed to hold it to the face without being uncomfortable. It really is top notch and the 120$ price for it makes sense with how good it feels on the face and works. It charges on USB so I have the cable right there with my PS3 remote charger.
I did have my first one break on me though. I was wearing it while working outside and sweating a lot and it shut down on me. |

I have only used an over ear headset and tried the Jabra one that came in the box. The Jabra has this stem that sits in your ear and hard plastic and can be uncomfortable. I noticed the Jawbone has a similar ear piece. Have you tried any other style of headset and if so how do you think it compares on comfort, I know its build and sound quality are far better. Thanks for letting us pick your brain...er, ear about this.

I had a hard plastic one I bought from cingular a while back. Not sure of the model as I lost it in my house a while back. The jawbone has several plastic pieces that you can slip on the end to accomodate your ear.
The hardest part about it is slipping it on, It's designed to fit the ear closely without pinching it. So you're having to slide it around the ear and it can be akward if you have long hair. All in all the last one I had I could only wear for about 15-25 minutes before my ear started hurting. The jawbone I barely feel at all when I'm wearing it. Though the last one I had was designed to hold to the ear by a spring clipping it to the top. I did try one of the larger plastic earpieces that came with it but I found it made the area it made contact with feel uncomfortable. So I swapped to the smaller rounder piece and it works really well. Also I'm using the larger sized ear loop. It's good for left or right side wear because the box includes 4 styles of clips (2 regular left/right... 2 oversized left/right). If you have 120$ to blow on a earpiece it really is the one to get. Though to be fair, I've tried few other bluetooth headsets. Though I find when I play warhawk I seldom understand others on their bluetooth headsets. I asked how well the other guys can hear me on ocassion and always get 5 by 5. |

Sweet, thanks for your input. The last question I have is where did you purchase your headset?
As a side note...With Warhawk coming with a headset, how are there so many players without one. I understand that it is available for download but with this being a big online team based game (with the small exception for the dogfight only modes) you would think more ppl would have spent the extra $20 for the headset. Just a thought. I don't know how to add a signature to a post so I will just have to put it in this way. BLU BLOODS |
