Default The Official "What Movie Should I Choose" Thread

Hi everyone!

Do you think I should blind buy TS or get WOTW instead?

I liked WOTW, but am not fond of heavy grain, and it's not really one of my favorites.

I haven't seen TS yet, but could potentially like it.

I used to like T2, love Si-Fi and Fantasy.

Does the movie have a meaningful story or is it just an action spectacle?

Thanks for your help!

Why don't you just buy movies that you like? Makes things a lot simpler...

War of the Worlds would be my choice.

Spielberg vs. McG isn't really a choice at all, more of an assumption.

If you have bought all three of the previous Terminator films and enjoyed them I would buy Terminator: Salvation, but if you're an even bigger Spielberg fan then I would go with War of the Worlds.

My usual advice is not to blind buy. I absolutely loved Terminator: Salvation, but a bunch of people didn't care for it at all. The blu-ray has some stunning audio moments though. I've heard that WOTW also has some great audio moments, particularly with the bass, but I didn't care for the movie as much.

both are good. but seeing as terminator salvation is only $6.25 at deep discount you might just want to get both.

War of the worlds. that way when the movie is over you won't have to wait for a sequel that will never come. T5 is a very good film even if we may never get the sequels.

To solve that problem, I always hit "STOP" right as Cruise is staggering up his ex's folks's front walk.

The rest of the movie prior to those last two minutes is terrific.

Trust me, please

Buy Terminator Salvation.
Its better story and better PQ.
AQ is the best available on market.
Buy it.

War of the Worlds

The PQ is absolutely fantastic and incredibly truthful to the style of the film (but if you're not a fan of grain you may complain). Plus the AQ is absolutely amazing.

Plus you don't have to suffer through Christian Bale yelling and grunting non-stop. And the story has much more emotional depth than Terminator Salvation.
