Glad to see a thread for this now, I was waiting for one to show up, I posted the following on the news item for this and hopefully this helps others out there decide if this is worth a double-dip. For me, I have no problem double-dipping on this collection (the 3 new commentaries and the inclusion of UV redemption for the series is reason enough) However, the biggest draw is that this collection contains the complete UNCUT and UNCENSORED episodes for the entire series. The previously released bluray editions have total a runtime of 2,044 minutes, but these bluray collections have a runtime total of 2,173 minutes. The uncut runtime totals 129 minutes of additional footage. That combined with the listed new bonus features above make this a well thought out collection. Very happy to see such passion put into this set. Now in the replies I got in the news item for the set, a few members don't agree with my assessment but nevertheless it's worth noting that the original bluray.com write-up for this item neglected to mention that the press release itself said these collections would feature ALL of the uncut/uncensored footage that was not released in the previous bluray editions. This was always the creators plan for the collection which is why STARZ re-aired the entire "Spartacus" saga from October 2013 through January 2014. Every Friday they aired a 3-hour block of episodes that were introduced by Liam McIntyre and had all previously cut footage added back into the episodes. The previous bluray releases only had a few select episodes in their uncut format. These sets will have each episode original and uncut . Anyway I hope this gives newbies to the show a chance to get in on a good deal and discover the phenomenal series and longtime fans a proper sendoff to the series.

If you add up the total running times on the actual Blu-Ray packages, not the times listed on this site, it comes out to exactly 2,173 minutes.

The rerun of episodes on Starz as uncut just featured the uncut episodes that were released on Bluray already. Where's a link to this press release that supposedly states there are new uncut episodes not previously released?

There were censored versions of the episodes? And I thought the previous blurays were already uncut.

They are. Only the original broadcast and DVD's were cut. The complete series will not add any footage to the existing Blu-Rays. I'm sure the first 12 disc are identical. The bonus disc is the only thing new to the set.

The pricing right now is a little steep when compared to the price of the individual releases. If there's a significant drop upon release, I'd consider the purchase.

Good to hear there isn't new uncut versions of episodes after having 2 of my seasons signed by stars of the show. The new extras sound nice but not worth a double dip. That statue is cool. Wish they'd put out some more merch when the series was one. Why some of the 12" lines didn't pick up this license is beyond me. Make both versions of Spartacus and donate the money to Andy's family and cancer research.

BTW, Crixis is an awesome dude in real life and Glabber the most engaging celebrity I have ever met.

Reason I did not buy the UK boxset which I could have got over Xmas for very cheap is final season UK set was bare bones.
Finally US set is coming but its over $100!
