Arrow Curious George, The Crazy Monkey Swings Into Theaters Again.

Prepare for yet another Hollywood hatchet job, I mean another potentially great adaptation of a classic kid's book. This time it'll be a cgi reboot.

"After hitting success with Despicable Me this Summer, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures are re-teaming on a CG animated feature based on the classic children’s book series Curious George reports The L.A. Times.

The original seven book series follows a mischievous monkey who has become one of the most recognizable and beloved children’s book characters. Universal previously adapted the property into a modestly successful animated film in 2006.

Larry Stuckey (Little Fockers) is penning the script and Chris Meledandri will produce. The film joins two other book adaptations in the works at Illumination including The Lorax and Where's Waldo.

My guess for the plot: George finds out an 'evil capitalist madman' hid the world's supply of bananas underneath Wembley Stadium and is holding them for ransom. George travels to the Bank of Evil and applies for a loan to build a monkey army. However, they notice his tree has been forclosed on, so they deny him. George resorts to smuggling fruit from Venezuela to get cash. Cwaaazy shenanigans ensue.
