France In Bruges / Bon baisers de Bruges

Still absent from the USA and UK. Australia's an option but it's apparently 1080i. I've seen some great 1080i transfers but wonder if there's other slip ups. So, we have the French released, Bon baisers de Bruges.

Any reports on it from people here? There's reviews from https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/In-Bruges-Blu-ray/3703/ and DVDRAMA http://www.excessif.com/dvd/bons-bai...25480-760.html (catchy new name they have -not).

That's the wrong image Blu-Ray.com have.

Looks like importing from France is the way to go. Odd reading that review, "50GB". Sounds an amazing amount even now.

Ben reviewed the Scanbox Scandinavian release, actually, not the French release (or the pictured Australian release). The French release would be pro-bassoonist's department I believe, but they did not order that disc.

The Australian release seems to be 1080i/50 and is locked to Region B. The Scandinavian and French (M6/Warner France) are supposedly 1080p and Region-free. All releases have the same set of extras as the worldwide DVD releases and all are in PAL format.

I put the French disc on my Christmas list, so hopefully I'll be able to confirm everything by the end of the month if no one else has.

I purchased In Bruges / Bon Baisers de Bruges a while ago from Amazon.fr.

Region Free
DTS-HD MA 5.1: English, French
Optional French Subtitles
1080p

PQ and AQ is amazing, and the movie is great.

Thanks for all the comments

I'll go for the French disc and post back with a box scan and findings.

The correct artwork I think for that review: http://www.scanbox.com/ShowMovie.aspx?ItemID=9552

Thanks for this info. I am delighted to see the French version is available so will definitely be getting this. I lived in France for some years back in the 1980s and love to get get French versions of films so to help keep me up on the language.
