I've recently downloaded a couple of SD rentals, both a little over 1Gb in size and they downloaded in roughly 30 minutes!!! When I started using the PSN video store the files took days to download.
I'm amazed and impressed! Both were downloaded in the morning (between 8 & 9) and I think that's why they are so speedy; the US and Japan aren't online in big numbers. I'll be making more use of the PSN video store now - not that long ago it used to take 6-8 hours to download an SD film and over 20 for HD. Maybe Sony have sorted out their side of things too, but basically I'm downloading at my max line speed which is currently around 700kps Woo hoo! If you haven't rented from the PSN in a while, give it a go and try the morning hours |
