Dude, be there at opening and by a few. My opinion is that whatever money To(M)$hiba gave to Paramount covered the losses they were going to take for the production and distribution of the existing BDs. I wonder how happy HD-DVD Group will be about the not-so-exclusive, exclusive release.

Last edited by CAB; 08-27-2007 at 04:53 AM. Reason: I misspelled To(M)$hiba.

Same here. I've got two Super Centers within 10 miles of me, I'll be trying them both, as well as Best Buy and Circuit City.

I'm debating on, if I find one, taking a picture of myself holding it and flipping the bird and sending it in to Paramount . . .

I noticed that this weeks Best Buy and Circuit City ads show that "Blades of Glory" will available on both Blu-ray and HD DVD. When I checked BB's website I only see the HD DVD version. I didn't find either on CC's website.

No what will happen is they will lock the sku so that it cant be sold through the register. Just like if you try to buy a new release before the relase date, the register wont let the employee sell it.

That didn't stop Best Buy from selling me Beerfest a whole week early. Not saying that the locking thing doesn't exist, but some retailers are just to damn lazy or oblivous of early releases sometimes.

Wouldn't it be funny if the non existent Blu-ray version of Blades of Glory shows up on the Nielson ratings? And... beats the HD DVD version!
