Person of Interest stars Jim Caviezel, Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson and Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson in a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Reese’s (Caviezel) special training in covert operations appeals to Finch (Emerson), a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law using Reese’s adept skills and Finch’s unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the person of interest and stop the crime before it happens. Reese’s actions catch the attention of the NYPD, including homicide detective Carter (Henson), and Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a cop who Reese uses to his advantage. With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything. Emmy Award winners J.J. Well, that kills the other show he was going to do with Terry O'Quinn.

But it does peak my interest in this show quite a bit.

Well "pushed" doesn't mean "destroyed", so I'm sure that'll happen eventually. But I'm down for this. At first I thought he would be playing the ex-CIA agent...an image that doesn't really fit with him. But anything mysterious is perfect, lol.

Michael was on Parenthood last night as an autistic children's show bug expert, he was exceptional in the role, so this is great news coming off last night's performance.

Michael Emerson AND Jim Caveziel! Wow now that is some damn fine casting. Count me in! This is the show The Cape wished it could be.

Jim Caviezel Is the 'Person of Interest'

CBS has found its 'Person of Interest'. In what would be his first series gig, The Passion of the Christ star Jim Caviezel has signed on to topline CBS' crime drama pilot Person of Interest. Written/exec produced by Jonah Nolan and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, the project centers on ex-CIA agent Reese (Caviezel), presumed dead, who teams up with reclusive billionaire Finch (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City. On TV, ICM-repped Caviezel previously starred in the AMC miniseries The Prisoner.

I really hope this gets picked up, with the casting and story line this could be a great show.

On the drama side, the James Mangold-directed ROOKIES appears a shoe-in, with PERSON OF INTEREST continuing to gain momentum and P.I. show HAIL MARY still strong. Procedural THE REMEMBERER had a solid screening to remain in contention, while the re-cut UNTITLED SUSANNAH GRANT medical drama will screen on Monday but most are already betting on it going to series. RINGER, which screened early, has been pretty quiet, while THE DOCTOR doesn't look very good at the moment.

CBS Picks Up: 'Person Of Interest' To Series

What a day! CBS just joined the pickup frenzy with orders to its 2 hottest pilots on the drama and comedy side. The network is making calls to producers at the moment and the first to get one was non other than J.J. Abrams, whose Person of Interest has been picked up to series. The crime drama written by Jonah Nolan had been building momentum, recently emerging as the frontrunner at the network on the drama side. Also picked up is the Michael Patrick King/Whitney Cummings comedy Two Broke Girls. While Cummings will do her new NBC comedy series, which is in first position, King, whose NBC drama pilot A Mann's World didn't go forward, is expected to be full-time on the comedy series, probably co-running it with another comedy writer-producer.

This show should be fantastic, considering the casting and the show runners involved, it could easily be my favorite new series of the fall.

Well it's Christopher's brother Jonah who was heavily involved in the Batman movies and it is JJ Abrams....

Yeah have to say I didn't really care for it that much before seeing the preview but now it's on my must watch list.

I was very interested in the premise alone, but figured the casting would suck. Then came Emerson, then came Caviezel, and I was locked in!

Yeah has a solid cast. Now we just have to hope it does better then his Undercovers which IMO was god awful.

Well it's CBS so it should be given a damn good chance at least. It fits perfect into my schedule too, unless of course CW puts Secret Circle on at 9, cause the only thing in that slot for me right now is Parks and Rec at 9:30. If that is the case I will just download Secret Circle and everything will be all good in the tv hood.

Yeah happy it's on CBS and has a good chance and actually looks to be a good show which hopefully helps if advertised right.
