Question about Madden 11

By me asking this question I really hope I dont get heat for it.

I was playing online yesterday with a friend he was winning with 3 1/2 mins left in the 4th. He had the ball. He pretty much just started letting the play clock run down to 2 seconds(while the game clock ran down also). Then at 2 seconds he would snap the ball and run. I would Tackle him.

Then he would do the same thing over again. Rinse and Repeat.

I understand Teams do that but I never seen them do that 3 mins or more left in the 4th.

When I am up in the 4th. I play like normal I just run the ball every time. To kill the clock.

So I dont know what to think. If someone could please explain to me if that fair to do it with that many mins left in the clock or Cheap unless you do that with about a min left or so on the clock.

I asked this question before(not on here) and all I got was responses of people twisting my words. Saying I said I am the greatest Madden player and people suck etc. Which I never said anything remotely to that.
