Hey Plumeria, any chance you could grab the rights to Jon Amiel's Queen of Hearts (1989)? Really underrated, quirky film. And no blu-ray anywhere in the world!

Some British/Irish based productions from the 90s I'd like to see. Do you undertake your own restorations of film's? I'd love to see Chasing The Deer see the light of day again. But who knows what state it's in. Never even made DvD.

Ordered STHS - it's a great little film with Capaldi half way between the manic Malcolm Tucker/Doctor and the whimsy of Local Hero.

Would be great, Plumeria, if Strictly Sinatra - which Capaldi directed - would be available. Basically...give me the Capaldi label.

All the best to a new label - we can never have too many run by people who know there's more to home video than Hollywood blockbusters.

Shut the front door! There's more to film than DC and Marvel?

If we are throwing out suggestions I'd love to see a blu ray of Tony Maylam's The Riddle of the Sands (1979)!

Your Matt Reeves looks more like Sam Raimi actually.

Since this seems to be kind of a wishlist thread for now, I'd like to add these for consideration:

Mister Frost (1990)
Hawks (1988)

And if they don't have to be UK films, also:

Mushrooms (1995)
Buster's Bedroom (1991)
Fistful of Flies (1996)
Top of the Food Chain (1999)

These few are perhaps somewhat better known, and a couple of them do have Blu-ray releases elsewhere, but not in the UK:

Paperhouse (1988)
Last Night (1998)
Lawn Dogs (1997)
Butterfly Kiss (1995)
Wonderland (1999)
Flickering Lights (2000)

Did pretty well in Scotland at the time. That period where post-Bill Forsyth, along with Tutti Frutti on TV, Scottish projects were being greenlit easier. That mix of central belt grit with the whimsy is quite unique in UK film.

Yet another Capaldi suggestion, but quite likely an impossible one since this is a BBC production; Gavin Millar's The Crow Road.

And while we're at it, why not give Millar's other Banks adaptation "Complicity" a chance.

Default The Hours and Times (30th Anniversary Blu-Ray Edition)

Plumeria Pictures have announced their next title:

Quote:
OUT MARCH 15 – PRE-ORDER NOW

Christopher Munch’s boldly original debut, THE HOURS AND TIMES (1991), is a fictional account of what might have happened in April 1963, when John Lennon and Beatles manager Brian Epstein traveled to Barcelona for an extended weekend getaway. In the four days they spend together, the suave Epstein (played by David Angus) and the provocative Lennon (Ian Hart in his first starring role) reflect on their lives, both private and professional, as they explore the unique bond they share. Munch’s sparse and intimate narrative, captured with exquisite black-and-white cinematography, is a thoughtful meditation on friendship and sexuality, crafted around a brief moment in the lives of two extremely well-known pop figures.

Special Features:
New interview with director Christopher Munch
Feature-length audio commentary with Ian Hart and Andrew McIntosh
Conversation at UCLA archive with Ian Hart and Christopher Munch
Theatrical Trailer

Gatefold Digipak – Region 0 – 1080p – Original aspect ratio: 1.66:1 – Monochrome

Another vote for Strictly Sinatra! It'd be nice to see Franz Kafka's It's A Wonderful Life on Blu-ray too. The US DVD that has it and other shorts on is incredibly expensive now. No idea what the rights issues might be like for that though.

The Hours and the Times now out.

Plumeria's website now displays a mock-up cover for Sneakers - with a cover design featuring TOO MANY SECRETS spelled out in Scrabble pieces. Hopefully it's a match for or an improvement upon the US release.

Sneakers is my 2nd best film of all time.
Glad it finally has one if the extras from the US editions, shame the rest is missing.
