I just found out about this while browsing Amazon. I will have to get it when it drops in price. It is one of my favourite shows of all time.

The difference with the dvd set is insane (pricewise) 120 pounds vs 20 pounds or something brrrr. Normally the gap is not that big between dvd and bluray. Will pick it up around 50 i guess.

You will be waiting at least a couple years for it to hit 50. The hulk set, which is 6 discs less than the a team, hasn't even hit that price yet,it went 65.00 during fabulous films amazon uk storefront sale. Your best bet is to hope for a usa mill creek version, which would be around $50.

Well you have to take into account a decade of price reductions on the DVD so they were never going to be similar in price but The A-Team has been available for £70-80 in recent months and I am sure it will eventual be available for around £50-60 but you will be waiting years.

For those who don't mind buying second-hand, it's priced at £75 on CeX. Out of stock right now though.

It's a good set, though. I recommend it. You should check out this thread though, because there's a lot you need to know about cut episodes/previews/etc.

Regarding pricing it is only Zavvi and Fabulous Films (selling themselves via Amazon Marketplace) who have had pricing around the level you quote.

I think the perception on pricing for all these titles comes from Amazon who have been offering very small discounts to rrp hence prices well above £100 mainly because they see no price competition for them (this applies to all the recent Universal TV shows Fabulous Films have released on BD) as HMV for some reason have not been selling them (I believe they only had Incredible Hulk on sale, not sure if it's because of the very high prices or some other reason).

No, i emailed them a while ago about it. Got mail back saying probably April 2018! Tried again after that and didn't get a reply.

From memory (it was a while ago now), they recorded audio commentaries with Dirk and Dwight.

I *think* they said that they would go into a Collectors Edition of the set once the initial batch had sold out.

Same here. I'm not going to sit around forever waiting for a Collector's set to come out so maybe I'll just grab this set.

So it's just audio commentaries they'd include? Nothing else planned?

Well I see no listing on Amazon yet and I'm assuming it would be a new entry listed there otherwise people wouldn't know what they are buying. They sometimes do these things a couple of years in advance so they're probably waiting a bit longer or maybe more support from Universal with archive material, gag reels, etc. What Fabulous really need to do is give us HD releases of The Incredible Hulk TV movies.

Different rights owners for those. Not so sure they'd be available to Fabulous.
