Game servers being decommisioned.

Here's a list of various game servers that have been decommisioned for the PS3 and other Sony formats. Looks like one of my favourite racers Motorstorm Pacific Rift is to shut down come october.

Surprised Resistance (1) isn't on that list. The last time I was there (over a year ago), online was virtually dead. Unless it was just an off day, I can only imagine how little the games that made the list are getting played.

You know what really disappoints me? I was going to get FTB3 and Arctic Edge for my Vita, some time, But I guess that ain't gonna happen. Resistance Retribution is still a killer online, and there's still plenty of people on that, so I don't think that's going down, anytime soon.

For the Motorstorm games (particularly Pacific Rift which is still extremely popular) i would rather they update the game to have non-dedicated servers like Motorstorm Apocalypse. Damn shame to see Motorstorm PR Online bite the dust. I'm doing Pacific Rift evenings every monday at 7.30pm GMT each week until the servers shut down. Please do feel free to join me, one and all...

This is why I hate online related trophies for any game. The time to acquire them is always limited. If you don't buy the game right away, the chances of obtaining the MP trophies diminish with each new game that comes out after it.

I'm not entirely sure. I tried to play the game about a year ago online and no dice, the server wasn't avaialble. The game came out in 2006, and a lot of people moved on to Motorstorm Pacific Rift and then Apocalypse in the following years. Having said that, Pacific Rift was legendary for having crappy server connections. One of the reasons i stopped playing it.

Well they did that for Burnout Revenge 360, a couple of months back...but they put them back up not too long after. Same with Burnout 3 way back in 2007. Kept them up until classic XBL was shut down. I think the series is strong enough, that even EA (who's infamous for shutting down servers) just can't keep them down.

I've been busting a gut to get the Distinguished Character trophy for Pacific Rift and finally had it drop yesterday. It's a Gold that requires you to use all 6 DLC characters, and have them win on any DLC track. PS3trophies.org was invaluable as always.

Still going to be missing a few though, as i havn't got the time to sink into the game anyway. Might actually help if the servers could connect faster as well!

My bad i thought i had put what game till i just now got on here and checked it lol. Motorstorm Pacific Rift. I just need the online trophies. The win 3 ranked races in a row and not wrecking during a race which i can usually avoid wrecking. I am currently rookie rank.

If you can still get into it, try to get into a boosting group. I was in one over at PS3T.org and got all of the online done. I boosted over the course of 6 nights, and it did take quite a few hours...but I got it done. I'm going to do my part and idle for the other racers for a couple of hours each night during the week until the servers close down.

So, it's not too late if you want to try and get the ranked portion done. The max exp gain I would get would be 4 or 5% depending on the number of ex legends were idle in the race.

Casual races should be easy to do, just need 4 people in a lobby to start that.

Thanks for the info on that. I've been able to find some casual races. I only need bout 6 more ranked races aside from the no wrecking and win now. Still need about 45 casual which so that awhile otherwise i'm doing ok so far.
