Default 3D blu-ray player?

What is the best 3D blu-ray player out on the market? Also is Oppo going to have a firmware update to make the BDP-83 3D compatible?

For future reference, the PS3 will be the best 3D blu-ray player. I'm not sure about the Oppo but its also one of the best blu-ray players.

I suggest the PS3 as well since it will already saves a you penny than buying another one..lol The new units are 3D Blu-ray players are the Panasonic DMP-BDT350, Samsung BD-C3900, Sony BDP-S770 and Toshiba BDX3000. The Panasonic DMP-BDT350 is the only player with dual HDMI outputs in case you want HD.

panasonic dmp-bd350 dual hdmi out means no need to upgrade your reciever to get 3D and lossless plus awsome 2D playback in fairness it is a little slow but worth while trade off. yes i own this and can state it is awsome see my sig for the details but it upscales dvd better than my PS/3 which is also an amazing blu-ray player. props given

I don't like the ps3's functionality as a blu-ray player. Also the ps3 isn't a 3d blu-ray player as of yet it just plays 3d games.

Thumbs up 3D Blu-ray player

I love my Panasonic DMP-BDT350. And next month, when Sony releases the 3D upgrade for my PS3, I will compare the two. It should be very interesting, as the PS3 has, indeed, always been considered one of the very best BD players on the market !!

Worth restating the panasonic DMP-BDT350 is awesome Not only is it 3D working out of the box, no not only is it one of the few modern Blu-ray Players with multichannel analog outs to support older receivers, no not only does it offer dual HDMI slots to further extend that backwards compatibility but by seperating the Audio and Video Streams it Produces even cleaner sounding system then My Much older Panasonic DMP-BD85K (3 Months old which has Most of the same internal components of the 350 and was bought as an intermediate while waiting on the 350) I mean this thing sounds unbelievable. And not to diss the PS/3 because I love mine so much I purchased both the stand alones to ensure the PS/3 is with me for a long time to do everything as advertised feel free to look my gallery over to see my thoughts on the PS/3 but my stand alone can't game so if I am going to put massive Movie watching load on a piece of equipment I darn sure would rather not wear out my PS/3 but back to the 350 has it been mentioned yet that it is a PANASONIC I mean these guys wrote the book on Blu-Ray Players who else you gona trust

I have the DMP-BDT300 (European model) as well as the PS3 and I must tell you that the Panasonic BDT300 is much better in upscaling DVDs and also the picture quality in 2D blu-rays is better in my opinion than the PS3. And yes I use the PS3 for gaming and the BDT300 as a player that's what is supposed to be.

I've owned 2 PS3's, and found them to be an excellent value all-around. With that said, I feel my LG 390 model blu-ray player gives a better picture on blu-ray -- and it's not the newest model out there, either.
