How can they justify this

Sometimes when movies are released in region 1 they suck but when they release it in region 2 or other markets there are times where not only the quality of the transfer and audio is better but the packaging is way cooler too. How can they dumb down one release and then make it better in another region. Fans who grew up and have come to like one version of a film discover that the soundtrack they knew has been botched and altered only to discover it still exists on the other soundtracks just in a different language.

When the Alien Quadrilogy was released all we got was a huge boxset meanwhile japan got a really cool Alien bust .

Dont get me started on The return of the Living Dead parts 1 and 2 which were butchered on dvd
