Default Hulu Plus "coming soon" to PS3 and more.

http://www.hulu.com/plus/devices

I will not be paying $10 a month for it though.

The guided tour says that it comes to PS3 sometime in July.

Isn't this the reason they took away the "Other OS" option from our fatty PS3's? People were using Linux as a work around to be able to access Hulu on their PS3. Now, they're finally letting all PS3 users access Hulu, but you now have to pay for it? No thanks.

No, it's not.

I won't pay $10 a month for Hulu. But, if they incorporate this into PSN+, I'll buy it.

+1

$50 a year I can handle since there will be other features.

$120 a year is ridiculous. I'd rather just get netflix.

Is this going to be a separate app, or do we have to use the browser?

Do you actually want it for $10 a month?

Big no thanks from me. Bye bye hulu, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I would pay $10 a month for unlimited access to the shows I watch, rather than paying $80 to my satellite company. I already watch a bunch of the shows on Hulu when I miss them or when I'm cooking/eating breakfast before work in my kitchen.

Nope, same number of commercials as before. From the AP article:
The paid section will show the same number of ads to viewers as on the free site, but it has more content available.

I was intrigued by this as a cable/sat replacement since I don't watch a ton of shows in the first place, but with no way to watch the local sports teams, it's just not viable for me.

And now it's for sure a pass. Nice try Hulu. I'll go with Netflix.

Default HULU GEOBLOCKS the world outside the US

I am so tired of sites like abc cbs nbc fox hulu mtv starwars.com and even now youtube. Geoblocking the world outside the US. And just so you know proxies don't work. I want to tell them to go F^^k themselves. The web is turning into the US only web.

Yeah, Netflix, as in "The one plan that DOESN'T try to copy X-Box Live's pay-for-everything model..."

(Y'know, I still haven't gotten a grasp yet of what Playstion Plus exactly, um...does? )

As far as I can tell it's just Sony's way of getting us to pay for PSN games. Yeah you get free downloads every month, but you'll only be downloading so much because it's something you paid for.

Kind of. PSN+ is just a premium service. If you want your PS3 to update games or the system by itself PSN+ does that for you.

If you want free games and avatars, as well as discounts on games PSN+ does that for you.

If you want a free Qore subscription PSN+ does that for you.

If it's not something you want, then you don't need PSN+...

Unlike XBL you don't HAVE to pay for anything. So there's really no comparison.
