Hello everyone, I need your urgent help. The more responses the better.
My better half came up with an un-brilliant idea. What my better half wants to do is to remove by my home theatre speakers, receiver, and surround speakers and go with a wireless home theatre set up. She has this idea of going with a Bose wireless speaker system. Currently I have a pretty sweet set up. I have a 700 watt receiver powering a room that is about 12x12. My tv is a 55' and I got Axion speakers that I paid well over $1200 back when new. I also have a Polk subwoofer. I run blu-ray, laserdisc and dvd. My set-up is 5.1 (formerly 7.1) but I really hate the 7.1 set-up so I went to 5.1. My speakers are set up just like they would be in an IMAX theatre. So, her rationale is that those little Bose speakers take up less space and need no wires and because they are wireless they are better. I tried explaining that for good sound you need good speakers, and most importantly you need good power. And plus I am running bluray. She even said she noticed a difference since I set up the rears the way you would see them in an IMAX theatre. I told her that I am going to post her ridiculous suggestion on bluray.com and I will use the responses to prove her otherwise. Please help! How do I convince her to save my home theatre?
