Default Passing the Torch: Proud Gamer Parent Moments

I have been a gamer for about 30 years now (raised on Combat and Space Invaders for the Atari VCS)...last night I had the extreme pleasure of watching my 3-year-old daughter learn to play New Super Mario Bros Wii (with a Wii Remote in her right hand and a Nunchuk in her left). When she managed to stomp on 4 Goombas in succession...I shed a tear.

my sons 5 now and he started with mario kart on the n64 at about 2 1/2. he is now totally nuts about mario kart and reenacts everything from game sounds/music to turtle shells with his 'karts' that he makes from legos. i truley created a monster. he also loves star wars lego games. its fun playing 2 player legos games with him.

That's awesome!

Every evening when I get home from work, my daughter comes up and asks me if I'd like to go play Final Fantasy XIII (she enjoys watching me play and knows the characters by name now).

I glance over at my wife and then respond "See, at least you understand me."
