Does anyone know if this is region free as i am desperate to get my hands on it, have scoured the internet but can't find any info.

This is Region A. Also it is a 1080p upscale so the DVD is just fine and cheaper. The high prices this thing is fetching is outrageous. Also I have yet to see this in stores or find an online retailer that can get it delivered in less than two weeks. Very strange!

I'm interested in this but ill waituntill it drops in price. ID also like to read reviews on it and see screen shots.

I really want to read a review or see screen caps of this anyone know any other sites that can provide this info? I found it on line for $40 but I still think its steep.

Started watching it last night and I can confirm it is definitely an upscale. Also, for us purists, the Japanese track is a lame 640kbs DD track, while the dub is a DTS MA track. Really f***ing lame. An awful release!!!

Awful release indeed. Plus the English dub track isn't even any good. What a waste.

Decided to just keep my sub only DVD and pass on the Blu.

It's not an awful release, if you are a "Hokuto no Ken" fan and give Sentai Filmworks a break, these guys are just getting their feet wet with Blu-ray releases. If you don't own the previous DVD release but are a "Fist of the Northstar" fan, it's definitely a cool anime series. It's all about Raoh!

Nope it's locked to Region A only.
