Better Sub to buy? Paradigm or SVS - Blu-ray Forum

Two Paradigm DSP-3400's or two SVS PB12-NSD?

I have been looking at both.

They are the top 2 rated subs. So I am sure I will be good with either of them.

The whole reason I am asking is cause I can get ( 2 ) Paradigm dsp-3400's for $900 all said and done.

and the SVS PB12-NSD's will cost me $1,297 shipped

So which one guys? Paradigm or SVS??

I personally havent heard either of these, both are reputible companies. Design wise i like the paradigm. The specs are similar except the paridigms are running a 14" driver, and you save some $$$. If this were me, I would go with the paradigms and spend the extra cash on some blu's to show them off

i was looking at both of these at one point. from what i've read the svs will play deeper and louder than the paradigm but 900 for those two subs sounds like a good deal. if budget is a factor, go with the paradigm but the SVS will likely perform better.

Try googling comparisons between them

Jump on the owners forum and check it out.
SVS OWNERS rarely have any regrets.

Well, I went with the ( 2 ) 3400's.... Man these things rock!!! I got both subs for $700.... I thought that was a great deal, and one of them was never taken out of the box.

That looks absolutely beautiful, I swear it does!!!!!!!

Man oh Man… Paradigms make all of there speakers look good… and those two sitting like that are just amazing…

It would have been a great choice with either one.

Those are some fine Paradigms. What type of finish are those? Black gloss?

Okay,so I have to ask. Do you get any rattling at all from having your Blu-ray collection stored on top of both subwoofers? Or are they rock solid?
