lost in canada (space) - Blu-ray Forum

There seems to be no lost in space in canada and the one's popping up are in 1080i with no menus and no extras. What the hell is going on? mars attacks THX and forbidden planet all showed up but no lost in space. I found a copy in halifax but it is not the one being reviewed around the net. I want my money back. Warner whats going on?

That's the Alliance version. Alliance owns the rights in Canada.

There are presently 2 versions of this movie in Canada. A new one that has a 1080p transfer with special features (Same as the US release - expect the front cover says Special Edition), and the original release which you found that says 1080i and has no special features. There is also a cost difference. The 1080i has gone for more than $20 where as the new special edition is only $15.99 at amazon.ca / HMV / Bestbuy.

My suggestion is to try looking for it at Bestbuy or HMV, HMV can order a copy for you, but you must specifically ask for the Special Edition. You could also get it from amazon.ca which might be easier. Up to you.
