Short synopsis: It's a fantastical retelling of the ancient Chinese history of the Three Kingdoms. In the DW games you can choose any of a large number of various legendary warriors from any of the Three Kingdoms (Shu, Wu, and Wei), each of which has their own strengths, weaknesses, and fighting style.

The game obviously takes some liberties with the historical legends (magic, larger-than-life combat skills, etc.), but it does actually stick fairly close to the actual history, giving you various set-piece missions against huge armies of enemies that are loose recreations of actual battles from that time period.

The game is played in 3rd person view. Basically you take control of a legendary fighter, and try to plow through hordes (100s... sometimes thousands!) of weak soldier enemies and not-so-weak officers and opposing legendary warriors to try to win each battle by defeating the enemy commander.

Shin Sangoku Musou again a PS-exclusive franchise? That'll definitely hurt 360-sales in Japan. I hope by focussing on just the PS3 hardware, they'll be able to make a game that is more fluid and has better graphics than the previous ones, which in my opinion were technically sub-par: Orochi was still OK but Shin Sangoku Musou 5 was a disaster.

I completely agree! As far as exclusivity goes, DW7 may be PS3-exclusive in only Japan and multiplatform in NA/EU.

That's not necessarilly true but I guess only Koei would know. The only Dynasty Warrior games i've played are just what we call 6: Empires, and the Gundam games.

I only said that it might only be PS3 exclusive in Japan after learning that From Software's Project Dark is only on PS3 there. Honestly, I would love seeing DW7 as an exclusive worldwide because of Blu-ray. DW6 was by far the worst of the series and I really hope Koei steps it up A LOT with DW7.

Project Dark is published by Namco Bandai though for worldwide and we know Namco loves multi-platforms especially when it comes to outside of Japan(well except for their Tales games). Sure Namco has a couple of PS3 exclusives in Japan(but that's mostly because of their Banpresto company they bought out).

Anyways the point is you can't really compare Namco to Koei.
