hey everyone, i finally got around to posting up my pics of my HT. it needs some work, but i'm in the military and i move every few years, so i don't want to put "too much time" into it. when i settle down into my final military posting and where i will live the rest of my life, is when i go nuts with the HT

anyway, here is my set up:

Samsung 50" HP-T5064 Plasma
Vivitek H1080 DLP Projector
120" Projector screen
Pioneer VSX-9040 TXH Receiver
4 X Energy CB-20 speakers ( 2 front, 2 surround )
Energy CC-10 Center speaker
Energy ESW-v10 Subwoofer
PS3

gonna save up and add 2 more speakers for the 7.1 sometime over the next year, just not sure if it will be 2 towers or just 2 more bookshelf.

I like your set-up. Energy makes very solid speakers, and I like the plasma TV as well. The Vivatek projector throws a very nice image as well. You really have done a nice job in there.

Have you ever noticed any light reflection from the white ceiling and any possible washing out of the image on the screen? I have a white ceiling and felt I had to do something in my HT.

As well as in Home Theater it appears. Very nice set-up.

i haven't noticed any problems with the white ceiling, as its not as glossy as some that i have seen. the ceiling is a drop ceiling and its been working out pretty good for me for sound reflection, low gloss, and for hiding and running wires

Good for you....I had light reflection issues with the ceiling, floor and even from the curio (but youcan see I fixed all of those problems.) Having a drop down is a lot easier I'm sure with running cables....I have a drywall ceiling....so everything is run along the base of the wall (luckily behind all the furniture.)

That is one outstanding System and Set-Up you have put together.
The Framed Prints around the room provide a Great Touch.

While I also like having the screen come down in front of your TV.Its a Set-Up I would be proud to call my own.

Bytor what an amazing setup this is specially that V10 of yours makes me jealous. Your home theather is really nice.

I will look for a screen and projector in the future, But I'll just make sure I'll get something I will enjoy for years to come before I do and for now the condo is not the right place to install a screen and projector but I like your suggestion and I'm looking forward to it.

Yup we felt it down here too as we are not so far apart, trust me the house was shaking and few things fell of but nothing to be to worry about.

You will love listening to 7 channel surround tracks.

The new Blu-Ray Kick A$$ has a 7.1 channel DTS-HD Surround Track.They used the Back Surrounds Perfectly.You could hear bullets coming from behind you(while whizzing right past your ear and off into the front).
