Does anyone have a Samsung PN50A650 - 50" plasma TV or the 58" ? Good-bad- or what? I'm thinking of upgrading to this tv.
All opinions welcome.

I have the first Samsung 1080p plasma the 5084. I have been totally satisfied with it. It has been great. If I were to upgrade it would only be to get the top of the line Pioneer Elite Kuro 50" plasma.

I have a 46" Samsung LCD. Personally, I recommend an LCD over a Plasma because it's more durable and uses less energy (picture quality is almost identical). But plasma's are a little cheaper and come in larger sizes! So up to you. Oh by the way: Samsung makes great products and are very reliable.

Seriously, I love my Samsung LCD and will prolly always own an LCD, but if you are looking into a plasma and cannot afford the Pioneer Elite(most cannot) then I would say go for the Panasonic Viera, for sure! Samsung is putting a lot of cash into LCD's lately from what I understand, so I believe that is the focus of their pursuits. I would pursue a plasma oriented company if I were shopping for one.

I like the model TH-50PZ85U for its size, price and features, unless you want to step up a grand and get the viera cast tv.... those are cool.

Default Samsung pn50a550 Plasma

I recently purchased the samsung pn50a550 plasma and love it. I've got nothing but good things to say.

The colors are outstanding and it is far and away the best HDTV bang for your buck. If you look around, you can easily find it for less then $2,000.

It's also one of the best tv's for calibration. There is a massive array of different settings you can tweak.

I've enjoyed every second I've spent with this one, and I look forward to many more years of viewing pleasure.

I'm not a Panny fan. Though I've watched them and it looks like I'm looking through a tinted glass window. Detail is very good but the whites look dingy.
But I'll check it out.
Any more suggestions?
