Import "Return to Cranford" doesn't work here.

I know, I know - it was a big risk, but I saw Return To Cranford really cheap on Amazon UK, so I thought as I understood it wouldn't be released on BR in North America, I'd take the risk it might not work and buy it.

It doesn't. I don't think its region locked, as I get some copyright messages and a BBC HD ident piece when I first insert the disc. But eventually nothing happens, and part of me is thinking perhaps there's a menu or trailer on there that's PAL and therefore my PS3 won't play it. I can't skip or go to top of movie etc.

Should I consign it to the trash with a lesson learned? Or is there anything I might try?
