Default What TV makers who support Blu should do

I think if the companies want blu to succeed they should start giving away blu-ray players with a purchase of thier TV at least for a bit. Just my opinion, but it could be a way to get more blue players out there as well as the TV.

Another simple thing they could do it put a Blu-Ray logo on their sets or a Blu-Ray compatible logo or something. This alone would get people looking at the TV asking about Blu. To the less informed (most consumers) they would also think that their new set only takes Blu-Ray and not HD-DVD.

That is a shady tactic, but I have seen things like that done before. Blu can win without shady tactics like this too. Im just sayin.

Since Sharp is going to start making Blu Ray players, perhaps they should incorporate a Blu Ray player into an HDTV, perhaps like a 32" model. Toss in a few free movies, along with a decent price point, and i think that could do wonders for Blu Ray sales.

or just call them "Blu-ray ready" like the old "HDTV-ready" which just let people know that it exists...

I like the HDTV/Blu-ray combo idea but not the other ideas so much.

As much as I support Blu-ray, I don't want to see misconceptions reinforced.

Maybe Sharp could do cross promotion of their players with their TV's.
