Well, there could be a practical point in releasing the entire series on a single BD50 disc instead of spreading it out over 6 DVDs. And they could even upconvert it to 1080i where the picture quality could be slightly better than straight up DVD quality. Maybe the audio could get improved as well.
But yeah, this will almost certainly never happen seeing as how shows that are actually HD don't get releases on blu ray. And I don't ever remember a SD TV show getting released on blu ray for these practical reasons anyway. So you might as well just get the DVDs, which is what I did. |
