I have read great reviews on the Danish, Polish, French, and Japanese. I get the impression that they are all very much the same. Why is the Polish version superior to the rest? I know the French release is region B locked but the Danish/Scandinavian and the Japanese are region A friendly. Japanese is obviously region A and the Scandinavian is reported region free. Is the PQ/AQ on the Polish release superior in some easily discernible way?

Pulp Fiction .....
![]() ![]() Why the heck did the aussies put a 1080i transfer on a BD50... ![]() Well the picture quality is real good but still it's only 1080i I was thinking about importing the polish blu ray...Then again i'm sure there will be a far superior american release soon!(that's why i'm sticking to my aussie blu) But if you must have the blu ray now import the polish release,i heard the danish blu doesn't have english subtitles(which is not really THAT important but it's still better than danish subtitles:P) |

I just got my HK version and originally had the Scandinavian import. I sold the Scandinavian import and had no intention of rebuying this movie, but a friend in HK was traveling to the States and he picked it up for me on sale so I couldn't say no. The HK version has English subs while the Scandinavian did not.

I just got the copy in my hand yesterday evening and haven't opened it. Thought I read a thread over at AVS saying the HK release is comparable to the French TF1 release. To be honest, I still don't really want this title but I felt bad asking my friend to run to the shop just getting one title. I'm more excited that I now have The Last Samurai with Dolby TrueHD track instead of our lossy Dolby Digital release.

I watched yesterday the Scandinavian version that jcs913 sold me. The PQ is great, the movie has never looked better imo. The sound was a bit of a let down for me, a bit muffled and a some 'crackling' from my center channel on some dialogues. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!

Check out DVDBeaver's comparison between the French and the Chinese versions.
