7.1 hd audio in 5.1...

hey bros. i have 5.1 system and i want to know if i play blu ray which contains 7.1 hd audio will i get 5.1 in hd or normal 5.1 audio

please reply.

It will be downfolded to full high resolution audio 5.1-channel with the Back surround information now mixed (distributed) to the Side surround channels.

Nothing is lost, all is still there in full glory!

If your processor is configured for 5.1, then it will decode the 7.1 track and downmix it to 5.1. It will be the same high resolution audio, just fewer channels.
