I assume these releases continue the annoying new trend with MGM-via-Fox releases wherein they're releasing for the first time titles in BD + DVD packages that include newly-struck DVDs that don't include legacy supplements (Escape From New York) or re-releasing titles in the BD + DVD configuration that still exclude supps previously released on standalone DVD (1999 Thomas Crown, Fargo).

Yeah, that appears to be the case.

I'm glad that they're releasing them separately. I used to love the Rocky films as a kid, but my love for them has waned. I still greatly enjoy Rocky IV and will be picking it up by itself as soon as it's released.

Why change the box art for the original Rocky? is it a new remastered version? is the label on the blu-ray going to match the other discs now?
more bonus features?

I already bought the collection (for like $35), but I'd rather not have IV, one of the worst movies ever made.

I think you're confusing IV with V.

Guess they have to make money somehow with no movie projects coming out anytime. I wonder why not just release the rest of the Bonds? I am dying to finish off my set.

I can watch four, but it is really a series of music videos, not a movie. And Dolph has a few good lines, which is cool. Not really a movie.

My Rocky Ranking:
Rocky
Rocky II
Rocky Balboa
Rocky III
Rocky V
Rocky IV

Most likely it's just the same disc packaged with a DVD, and possibly in a DVD sized case.

Call me crazy but I think I like the new boxart.

Also, Rocky IV is one of my favorites in the series, and one of the best times I've ever had at the movie theater. People were actually cheering and even standing up with excitement during the fight at the end.

There's little doubt that these are the same discs as before.
