The nice: PoP 2008 style character textures.
The nasty: The Prince's chunky bandage-boots going below the ankle and an Ubisoft-speciality: his crappy face that wouldn't look so out of place in Deadly Premonition!

I'll pass judgement on the environments until I can see a bit more of them.

It doesn't look so bad. I guess we will just have to wait a little longer before we get a 'proper' PoP. I really enjoyed the cell shaded reboot and cant wait till they go back to that.

I think the reason why he looks like this is due to the new Prince of Persia movie coming out. He looks almost identical to him now.

Ugh, not interested. The last PoP was absolutely awful, probably the worst game I've played this gen imo.

I as well did not like Prince of Persia (PS3). It felt like they toned everything down for kids.

I like the look of the new one but it does look kinda bland color wise. The last ones colors just popped esp with the cell shading. I didnt think the prior one was that bad. I still have yet to Plat it and it kinda bothers me. I cant seem to get the stupid 14 hit combo.

Yeah that combo was no very easy to do. But unlike many here I liked that game alot. Abit repetitive but somehow relaxing at the same time.

I rented the game. It was fine until I got to the end. Right now I'm stuck on one of the worst platforming jumps I've ever encountered. And I'm going crazy just trying to do it.

But judging the game as a whole. I'd say that the platforming is great, but the combat is dull button mashing. The camera does and will get stuck in the walls sometimes.

Graphics are hit and miss. The music is fantastic. Especially the pause menu song.

The story is meh. I preferred the relationship between the Prince and Elika. It was definitely more interesting.

Overall, I'd say rental or wait for a price drop.

The last POP was an atrocity. I hate it, I hate it and I hate myself for having it in my home.

Only Silent Hill dropped even further below with there last game (yuck).

POP and Silent Hill were among first day buy games to me. i bought my PS2 because of silent Hill 2.

Finally finished the game. That last platform section drove me nuts. The ending was unspectacular. That aside, I enjoyed the game.

I watched the Giantbomb Firstlook and while they may be showing an early portion of the game, I'm pretty sure Sands of Time had you stringing together more challenging wall running combos and was faster paced in general. Not so much time to think about how to tackle what's next.

I'll probably get the one from 2008 instead of this. It seems more to my preference (graphics and music!).

Anyone think Forgotten Sands was better than the one from 08'?

I don't get all the hate for the last PoP game. It was fun, just has no replay value.

My only regret is buying it instead of renting it. Overall, I enjoyed it though.
