Default Horror Blu Ray Questions - Friday / Nightmare

I'm HUGE fan of horror movies and have seen some movies on blu-ray that I want.. However some questions I have to some of you experts

Right now I see that Friday the 13th (80'sversion), Friday the 13th Part 2 and Friday the 13th Part 3 are out on Blu-Ray, however is there a plan to release a Blu Ray box set for the movie series like they did on DVD? I'd hate to waste money on individual movies only to find out that a box set of blu rays is made or being made..

Also I have the same question for the Nightmare on Elm Street movie series that launced in the 80's.. I remember buying the DVD box set and is there a plan for the Blu-Ray box set for these as well ??

Any news or info would be great, thanks again to the experts and collectors

Thanks,
Dx

Short answer - you're probably safe buying F13 1-3 and Nightmare.
As far as F13, as you undoubtedly know Paramount reissued the original eight in dvd special editions about two years ago. The original plan, I believe, was to port all eight of them to blu-ray, but the rumor I've heard is that 4-8 have yet to show up on blu due to relatively poor sales. Thus it will likely be a long time at the least before we see a BD boxset. As for Nightmare, I've heard of no plans for a BD set, but others may be more plugged in on that than me.

I agree with the the above post. Being a huge horror fan myself I would pick up all the titles that are out now. I myself could not wait to get any of these titles so they were a day one pick up for me. Now, I think the prices are more reasonable and would warrant a pick up soon. Have fun when you do.

I realize it'll be years before there will be boxsets of these series. I'll wait though.
