I realize this article is several months old, but this is the first I've heard of the reunion, and I heard ~40 seconds of one of their new songs on the radio this morning. Ocasec's voice and the band "sound" has not changed a bit in 25 years, though I'm sure Orr's guitar will be missed.
The Cars were one of my favorite bands in HS (and still are), and I'm really looking forward to the new 'album'. ![]() http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/17386/185254 Quote:

Apparently this was all over the news yesterday. The Cars are one of my all time favorite bands. I have every one of their CDs (and LPs for that matter.) And this news is super exciting. I would love to see a new album and a tour. I had tickets to see the cars back in 1987, but the concert was postponed and eventually cancelled because the band broke up.
I will definitely see them this time around if they do tour, but Ben Orr will be missed. |
