Any difference in quality? Earlier version had YashRaj watermark in songs (for 5 secs on the black pillars)

The watermarks that briefly appeared on these discs never bothered me that much since they were placed in the pillarbox , well outside of the actual image.

I would be more interested to know if the washed out image of Silsila was improved for this new edition.

Also noticed this online - 4 disc set with Lamhe, KK, Silsila and Chandni. Seems like a good deal for the price, but interested in the two special features discs on the new KK and Silsila release so might not buy this

Finally brought CLASSIC YASHJI FOREVER BRD set of 4 films

KABHI KABHIE (1976) doesnt look too bad. I'll say
PQ is like out of .
AQ is like 1/2 out of .

Cant wait to watch SILSILA and LAMHE

Watching SILSILA (1981) BRD right now. Here are few thoughts so far.....

PQ is not as sharp as KABHI KABHIE BRD. I expected SILSILA print to be better as it was 5 years newer than KK.

The soft focus cinematography must be taken into consideration here. However, did you not notice how extreme and aggressive the contrasts and hues appear on the Kabhi Kabhie BD? Silsila's, on the other hand were much more natural.

great point there.

KK BRD those snow scenes had aggressive contrast. I actually liked it. Maybe because there was enough detail in the shots.

SS BRD, I only saw first 20 mins. That Big B-Rekha marriage dance in the beginning, I was not impressed by details. I was underwhelmed by that song. Although, colors were natural, picture feels too soft. I was underwhelmed again during Shashi Kapoor pilot aircraft flying sequences too. Let me finish SS BRD.
