Thumbs up Which is your MOST anticipated title for the Christmas season?

Let's make one thing clear. I am BANNING the mention of Transformers, Shrek 3 any or Paramount related movies in this thread. I am among many who bought blu-ray primarily for Transformers, or highly anticipated it. I'm sick of crying about it and getting myself upset.

Time to move on.. what are your most anticipated titles? (Meaning not currently released.) Try to limit it to the top five.

For me, the Spiderman Trilogy. Can't rightly think of any other "must haves", but it will certain involve some Disney CGI titles.

Well, nothing. The studios are going to have to start dipping into their cataloges and pull out actual classics, as opposed to teenager driven "blockbusters," if they are wanting to get mainstream adoption of the format. The target demographic of most of the current new releases is totally different from who they'll have to get to go mainstream.

It's very difficult:

i'd say V for Vendetta is number one by far...

but then...Die Hard 1-4, Harry Potter 1-5, Spiderman 1-3, Oceans 11-13...in that order...getting em all

You know, I gotta go with ID4 from Fox. To me, it is the epitomy of what those 90's special effects blockbusters was all about. I think it's a great disc to counter Transformers.

I agree, I can't wait for this one either! Can you imagine a PCM or DTS-MA track for this movie? That would be INSANE!

Fair point. However, among the precious few cinema classics on BD coming up this year are:

Blade Runner
Close Encounters
Life of Brian
2001
Clockwork Orange
Wild Bunch
Jailhouse Rock

Unfortunately that list is quite sci-fi-heavy and there isn't a single classic drama.

Who cares about Transformers or Shrek 3. Nothing for anyone to get upset about. What blu has comming up is slamming HD DVD! What the hell is Paramount going to deliver to HD DVD exclusively that anyone cares about?
Not much!
1. V for Vendetta
2. Batman Begins
3. Matrix Trilogy
4. Brotherhood of the Wolf
5. Universal Classic Horror
