We should keep this in the main Daredevil thread and update the original post or something though if/when it's official.

I hope they do a full season instead of the typical D+ 6 episode season.

Until there is a trailer or teaser, I won’t believe it. Two shows were already canned and another moved to Hulu that were announced in 2020: The Lizzie McGuire re-sequel, The Gaston & LeFou spinoff, and Love, Victor.

If it happens we'll finally know if the Netflix shows are canon or not.

This recent quote from Charlie Cox sounds a bit scary now:

Quote:
[...] Cox was discussing if Daredevil would work as a "lighter" PG-13 production.

"I wouldn't put it past the folks at Marvel to be able to accomplish that. I'm such a fan of everything they've done so far, I wouldn't underestimate them at all," the actor suggests. "So if they wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, I back them to find a way to do where it feels totally in keeping with everything we've done. And maybe there's a little less blood, maybe there's a little whatever, but I back them to do it."

No way is it 22 episodes (I just hope it's not a mini series and we get multiple seasons). I don't believe anything out of Cox's mouth (he's lying on purpose). They wouldn't have brought the original Netflix shows over if they weren't going to match the tone of it.

I'm still stunned they're actually putting the Netflix shows on Disney+, so at this point who knows what they're willing to do in terms of content of future MCU stuff.

IMHO, season 3 was lighter than 1 and 2, so if they go with that tone, this would still be a worthy DD continuation.
I thought season 3 would easily be a PG-13 movie. Not a Disney/Marvel PG-13, but a regular "action movie" PG-13 like Taken or the like.

You'll get your wish. It'll probably be 6 to 8 PG-13 friendly episodes. Enough to sell more Lego sets.

A new “Daredevil” series is moving forward at Disney+, with Variety having exclusively learned from sources that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.

Rumors have persisted for some time that a Disney+ series about the Man Without Fear was in the works, especially considering that two of the stars of the Netflix “Daredevil” series — Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio — have appeared in recent Marvel projects. Cox played Matt Murdock, the secret identity of Daredevil, in the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” while D’Onofrio reprised the role of Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”

It now appears that the project is picking up steam with the hiring of Corman and Ord, although Marvel has yet to announce anything regarding the show formally.

Daredevil is too big for a series and they already made one. They should have done a movie.

So how does this work...do we (1) start b!tching immediately and ramp it up over the next several months or (2) hold off until the first trailer drops and then go full whine?

Well, there goes any interest I had in Marvel Studios doing justice to my favorite superhero by hiring two of the most mediocre writers they could have possibly picked for easily one of their biggest properties. These guys wrote classics like Deck the Halls and worked on such brilliant shows like Covert Affairs!
