All three are 1080i, no extras or subs, but comes in a nice digipak. They are still very watchable (& 16:9 enhanced unlike the DVDs), but no, its not perfect.

No extras?! UGH, I'll pass. I think they'll go blu here eventually. I'm sure Scream 4 will be on blu, I was suprised to hear that there will be a Scream 4, considering the plot was leaked on the net. I'm sure they changed it, which is a shame, considering it was really good imo.

The original script for Scream 2 that leaked online was FAR better than the final film. They changed the beginning, changed the ending.... hell they changed who the killers were! Very disappointing. It would have been on par with the first, but instead was a step down (and 3 was far worse).

I have high hopes for #4. I haven't read any leaked plot, but I'm hoping it's good.

p.s. Saw this thread title and thought they had announced the US Blu's. Boooo!! (Safe bet they're coming just before the new movie hits in April)

That what I thought as well! I saw Scream probably 3-4 in theaters alone back in the day.

What was the original script? Could you post the differences here? In spoilers, if that's necessary.

With Scream 4 coming out next year, I'm sure we'll get a nice boxset of the trilogy in the US.

Agreed. I doubt they'll release them in time for the theatrical release, but when these DVD's eventually come out in what I'm guessing will be September, if not early October, we'll get a boxed set of all four. Can't wait.

Yeah I agree with mzupeman.

I can't imagine them being released to Blu-Ray with the theatrical release, but I can picture them all being released like the Alien Anthology is.
Hopefully we get them individually, I don't feel like purchasing Scream in a box set.

I think we will get the first 3 movies when Scre4m enters theaters as has been done in the past with catalog movies and a new entry/remake in theaters. Then a boxset with all 4 movies when Scre4m is released on Blu-ray.

The dialog for the leaked script of Scream 2 was horrible.

There was 3 killers: Hallie, Derek, and Mrs. Loomis

Well actually four at the end Cotton snaps

Sid, Gale, and Dewey die! I think Randy survives.

Cotton and Sid just keep stabbing each other till they die.

It was just a whole mess and I am happy it leaked.. I loved Scream 2.

The original Scream 2 script was donkey balls. NOT even close to being better than the actual movie. It was so so so stupid.

I personally can't imagine them not releasing these on Blu-ray to go with the theatrical release of SCREAM 4. And I will certainly buy them.

That's pretty much accurate. Though Cotton didnt snap, so much as see an opportunity to take revenge and have it blamed on the other killers. I thought the Cotton part would have been the best part of the ending.

...and actually it never says Cotton and Sid die. They stab each other and the last shot is both lying there and their eyes close. And it says "THE END (for now)"

I also liked in the original opening how people the movie crowd saw and watched Maureen getting murdered, but they all thought it was part of the event. So by the time she crawls onstage and screams before dying, everyone breaks out in loud cheers.

Aren't the first 3 still with Disney? If so, you won't be getting the 4th with them ever... and even getting the first three is a bit questionable.

Yes, Disney controls Scream 1-3. Part 4 is owned by Weinstein. It appears Sony is handling all home video distribution now for Weinstein.
