Smile Happy 3rd Birthday to Blu-ray 3D! - 1st consumer available 3D movie media!



1st consumer medium that is Full HD 3D capable, storing two separate 1080P high definition images on a 3D encode!

3 years old on Saturday, March, 16, 2013

The first consumer BD 3D, was Monsters vs. Aliens, released on 3/16/2010,

it was for "promotional use only", Not For Sale, and provided as the "Exclusive" in a Samsung-3D-Starter-Kit.

The next two movies, for "Promotional use only", Not For Sale, were Coraline
, and,

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
, released on June 1, 2010, and exclusive to Panasonic 3D HDTVs.

The first Blu-ray 3D movie available for Consumer retail sale was Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
, released on June 22, 2010.
