I would buy the Sony S470 over the Panasonic any day. I have the DMP 60, and whilst it is a good player, I also have the Sony S370 (the non 3D version). I had the same option as you when I bought the S370 (whether to go for the 3D version or not), and at the time thought I would not be upgrading to 3D for another couple of years. I bought the S370 and it is an excellent machine. The UI is slick, the load times are fast, and the picture is crisp. The internet functions are useful, and support for DivX and MKV is fantastic.
Now, little did I know that I would jump on the 3D bandwagon so soon, but luckily I had a free 3D player thrown in with the TV. So I have "retired" my S370 for now. If I had a choice, I would have opted for the Sony 3D player (the S470 or S570), but I am stuck with a Samsung 3D player for now (which has crappy MKV support). Hope this helps. |

Also look at the Panasonic 100 series 3D player.
