Anyone know when this movie, starring Garrett Hedlund, is due for a US release on BD? It's being released in the UK and other countries on Feb. 25th. It's not region free.
I'd really like to own it.

No date has been announced yet.

I want to assume that it'll be out in late April or early May.

It's supposed to finally get a nationwide expansion in theaters in March, so I wouldn't expect it to hit blu until around June.

Yeah, I thought I just read what the poster above me said, it was getting a bigger release at the end of March.

I've heard Stewart may be good in it for once.

Since it is an IFC release with pretty good reviews with such an infamous production history, I think it will probably be released on Criterion, which means it will probably be a while until it gets a Blu release.

I just looked up that post you refer to. It was made on April 12th.

There is an announcement on this site that was made a day earlier:

Am I missing something?

I'm also very curious about this. I mean it's a pretty big difference, so if the US release is the 124min version, I'll just import the German release.

At the rate things are going this will be out before I get my German Blu-Ray I ordered from Amazon.de in February Replacement shipment has gone beyond the expected delivery date now too but at least they used Royal Mail over DHL so maybe this one will actually show up.

My recent order ended up with i-Parcel who I had never even heard of and was worried about based on a Google search but that one has ended up passed off to Canada Post and Canada Post has the delivery date set before the Amazon.de estimate. And tracking sure is nice to have. Why couldn't they have used them for the order containing this that I am not far off waiting two months since ordering for

But I still think the German Blu-Ray will be the one to own if it ever does show up since it has the longest version by a few minutes over the French one and not the forced subtitles that has. The shortest cut the UK got has been what has been getting screened at North American film festivals from what I have heard so thinking the US Blu-Ray will be that version.

Okay, so looking over things...I'm still a bit confused over the french vs german blu.

The back of the german blu says it is 140 minutes...but the Cannes cut was 137 minutes (which was the longest the film was before it was cut to 124 minutes for Toronto). And then the french blu-ray says it is 135 minutes, so does that mean 2 minutes were cut (which would be weird since the film premiered there)?

Ultimately, my question is if the german and french blus are the exact identical extended cut of the film and the time discrepancies are something else (like maybe PAL timing)?

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually owned the movie on Blu-ray but ended up selling it due to a lack of interest in the subject.

It's safe to say that I would probably be disappointed in this one, as I don't really like Kristen Stewart, despite thinking the plot and the co-stars sound good.

Looks like the US version will be the 124 cut, but it's only $12.99.
