Default Sony ads on NBC

Seeing some Sony ads with Peyton Manning on NBC during the game tonight. HDTVs with "HDNA" in the background on the store TVs. No mention of Blu-ray yet but I'm hopeful!

*fist pump*

P.S. Some football ad with a remix of the music used in "Last of the Mohicans" too. Makes me wonder when that's gonna see Blu.

erm, this isnt the 100 million dollar Dale Jr. and Peyton campaign we heard about is it? I thought those were BD ads, not Sony HDNA etc.

Looked like it. Come to think of it, I'm not sure how they'd link Manning to Blu-ray. Maybe the plan is to sell the Sony TV and they'll see the blu-ray demo running and gotta have that too. I wish they could get Spielburg, Bruckheimer, and Micheal Bay (laff!) to do some HDNA BD ads.

Sony is completely out of their minds. Still no commercials for Blu-ray, I think they are doing everything in their power to lose this war. This is absolute garbage.

Actually, their "HDNA" campaign is for the whole integrated theater--
Sony Bravia TV's, Sony speakers, Sony Blu-ray, etc...

So far, the only reason J6P is asking "Whadda we need some new format for" is that they haven't seen widescreen 1080p goodness yet and caught the bug.
I've only had my set three weeks, and I still haven't converted the entire extended family yet...Explaining Blu-ray to them will be an even greater challenge without it.

Think the idea was supposed to be "Football is war", but since we all spotted Trevor Jones' Mohicans music straight off, my first thought was "Stay aloyve, goalposts, I will foind you!"

I saw their HDNA signage at my local Costco today featuring one of the new BD players.

Why waste your time and money fighting a battle that is being fought all by itself.

It would be like entering the 2nd world war as the Allies if Germany got smacked down by Poland.

The BDA is already winning without expensive ads, why waste the money if there's no need for it?

Then again, if you don't see the ads on television that have most movies showing "now available on DVD and **BLU-RAY DISK**" you obviously don't need the 1080p version of a disk if you catch my meaning.

Logan, there are people who think you need a Blu-Ray TV to watch the discs.
Advertising helps correct misconceptions.

There are also people who cling to their VCR's.

These folks didn't help make DVD standard and they won't help make Blu-Ray standard either.

I invested in a Blu-ray laptop(Sony).
*MY* investment was not for nothing.

Yeah, that was a Japanese commercial... oh well!
Have you seen the "Blue" Blu-ray commercial?
Doesn't matter... *TO ME* this war is being fought by a format in it's dying hour.
Blu has already won as far as *I* am concerned.

YMMV.

One of the Indy Colts' colors is blue. So I see a tie in right there.
