Default Chances AVATAR SE will be less than $20 on/after Black Friday?

So, does anyone else here think/hope that the Avatar SE blu-ray could become a loss leader for the big chains around Black Friday, selling for $20 - or even less?

I'd almost jumped on the new $24.99 pre-order price at AZ, but something tells me good (better) things will come to those who wait...

Most likely not, especially when this is a Special Edition and it's been out the same month as Black Friday.

$24.99 we can consider this as a "Hot Deal"

It is absolutely possible. I picked up Avatar for $5 new at RC Willey. Patience and discipline and you will find it cheaper than you would initially think....

Avatar initially came out on April 22nd and the lowest price was $20. Less than two months later (June 19th) for $5

Now I admit I got a super unheard of deal but in less than two months you will definitely be finding it lower than when it is first released....

I'm going to have to agree with MaCruz on this one.

two months later would not exactly fall within the OP's questioned window of "around Black Friday" - that would be mid-January.

Also, feel safe to buy it at ANY brick & mortar store right now. And if by chance you DO find it cheaper (online or in a store) within 30 days (or longer, depending on the stores's return policy) you can buy it then return that new sealed copy to the store with the first receipt.

Yes, it was the Blu-ray set, I don't buy DVDs - I had pre-ordered it in-store 3 weeks ago, their pre-order price was $24.95 then, when everywhere else it was still going for $29.99... but they told me today the pick-up price had dropped to $17.95, and that's what I paid.

EDIT: Unless, maybe they rung me up for the DVD instead of the Blu-ray.... heheh.

EDIT EDIT: Hmm, I just checked my receipt, it does not specify DVD or Blu-ray there... They even had to run to the back to bring out a blu-ray copy for me - they had just received the shipment about 10 minutes before I got to the store, and they didn't realize they had only put out DVD copies in the store display, because the packaging looks the same for both. But, the UE price sticker on my package is $36.95, it says it's the BD set, and they scanned the barcode on the box to ring it up, so I don't see how they could have made a mistake.

I always get good bargain-priced Blu's at UE, I go there religeously every Monday over my lunch hour to pick up my weekly supply, lol...
