Default Technical Difficulties...Help! I can't get my 3D setup to work?!

I recently got my hands on several new 3D Blu-ray movies including:
Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, How to Train your Dragon, Space Station Imax, Dinosaurs, Monsters VS Aliens, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
My problem is with several of the newest ones. Avatar and How to Train Your Dragon. They will not play on my setup, The player tries to load and all I see is a black screen with nothing on it.
My setup is all Samsung: BD-C6900 player and UN55C8000 TV with the most up to date firmware available, from Oct. 25 for the player and Oct. 15 for the TV.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? Do you think Samsung will release updates that will fix these issues? How to Train your Dragon is recognized in my computer blu-ray player so the disk itself is fine.
Thanks for any input regarding these movies.

Make sure you have an HDMI cable that passes 10.2 gbps or above or they will not play. Also make sure you are not passing through a receiver. The Samsung 3D TV and player will not handshake with most receivers, even if they state that they are 3D compatible. I would recommend purchasing a Sony, Panasonic or Oppo 3D blu-ray player. The Samsung is downright awful. I work at Best Buy Magnolia, and nearly every one that we sell ends up being sent out for repair. No one can return them though because they are given away for free with the TV. :-(

I must be lucky because I've had very little problems with mine. I have it going through a 3D receiver too. I didn't get it for free though, had to buy it when I got the TV. At the time it was the only 3D capable player, so it was that or nothing. However, I had to return two of them before I got one that worked properly. the first one completely died after one days use. the second one had a minor problem with the eject button light. That's to say there was no light for the button lol. I got a four year service plan.

I plan to upgrade to a Panasonic player when and if they change the Avatar promo to include players. I don't want to get one before that happens.

There is no physical issues with my player or connection setup. I can play some blu-ray 3D titles just fine including: monsters vs aliens, cloudy with a chance of meatballs, space station imax, and alice in wonderland.
My problem is only with Avatar and how to train your dragon.

It's because your player doesn't support the new BD+ encryption.

which players do? I hate that the player needs updates all the time! At least it is easy to do.

I tried the two movies Avatar and How to train your dragon 3D on a PS3 and they both played just fine. It seem the Samsung player is just not up to it yet without some more updates. A shame for an otherwise good player and I have these movies with a player that cannot handle them.

I don't understand why Dragon wouldn't work on it. It works fine on my player.

Maybe Avatar will end up working on mine too. I'll let you know if it does.

I have the BD-C6900 and a 50' Samsung TV running through an Onkyo TH-SR608 3D receiver and works just fine. How to TRain a Dragon looks amazing and so Does Avatar. I have 2 Monster 15.2 Gbps HDMI cable that work very fine. It might be an issue with you BD-C player. I don't necessarily like mine but it plays 3D just fine.

It could just be the player, are you running the very latest FW version? I upgraded mine to try and get it to work but no luck. I know it plays 3D fine on some things, just not these new ones for some reason.
