HMV UK seem to be Blu - Blu-ray Forum

Just out of interest, I popped into the local HMV in Birmingham today, and even though they only had 9 small columns presenting hi-def discs, 8 of them were Blu, only one HD-DUD. The 32 page intro to Hi-Def booklet that you could pick up free had 22 pages devoted to Blu-Ray, and only 10 for HD-DUD.

Does this mean that they've unofficially come down on the side of BLU?

Even from way back when I used to work there everybody up the chain could see that BD was the way forwards.

I don't know what the situation is these days since I quit for (much) greener pastures, but I imagine it is the same.

It seems to vary a lot between stores, Woking is 70:30 BD:HD, Kingston was 50:50 last time I looked.
