Default Fox making new DBZ movie

Lol, this is awesome. They have a budget of $100 million to make a live action Dragon Ball Z movie. Filming is gonna start i think next year.

I have been saying for years, If done right this good be a great idea. Fans will find a way to be disappointed in it though.

The Wiki page says that the filming will begin soon in Montreal. It’s interesting that they said “filming”. “Production” would have been a better word.

You don’t film animated movies. That would lead me to believe that this is going to be a live action movie and not animation.

Isn't that always the problem? Most of the time Hollywood just can't get it right.

There simply isn't enough there for a movie. It's the same reason why Warner has held the rights to Akira for a decade and never made the movie.

DBZ relies on being formulaic, for you to forget from week to week that it's the same thing over and over and over and over (like most "stripped" anime. Ranma, Inu Yasha, Naruto, Sailor Moon) that has a new episode every week for years.

And a whole bunch of movies, including Matrix Revolutions prove how stupid that kind of action looks with real proeple
