Default PiP Question

Sorry if this is a stupid question

What resolution is Pip specified upto. It is also 1920x1080P ?
And could you output PiP in theory to a second screen? Player willing. So more Picture by Picture than PiP.

If you could this might be quite cool for music videos, having two screens running side by side (not that I can afford that set up).

not stupid but complicated. PiP or secondary video must be <=main and can be defined in three "sizes" to be displayed (relative to the original resolution on disk) 1, 1/2 and 1/4 (if I am not mistaken) (i.e. if the video to be PiPed is 1080p it can be in a PiP that is 540p or 270p)

this is important because a studio could use a different resolution to get a different size (i.e. 540p would take up 1/4 of your screen but if the studio wanted 1/9 they can make the secondary 720p and use 1/2 = 360p

Further more the original specs said that a player must be able to handle a secondary video that is indeterminate where main + PiP<=40mbps. But what we now is that this “enhanced” PiP is not what is mandated in 1.1 (and I don’t remember what is)

As for the two outs, many of us are asking for it for 3D (most don’t care about PiP, so no loss in that) but whatever happens I think the title would need to be designed to work that way.

its been quaoted by insiders that current players(exlcuding ps3) will PROPBLY not being able to have a primary video at 1080p and a secondary video at 1080p
but seconed gen profile 1.1 players will most likely bee bandwith sufficent
